CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION
Since 1979, the prevention of child abuse has been the National Project of Exchange Clubs. The Exchange Club of Durham supports this mission by promoting awareness and working to protect children and strengthen families.
Prevention efforts are carried out nationwide through Exchange Clubs and Exchange Club Centers for the Prevention of Child Abuse, creating meaningful, lasting impact in communities.
This commitment has earned national recognition, including the Presidential Award from the White House Office of Private Sector Initiatives. Exchange is also a charter member of the National Child Abuse Coalition and a Partner in Prevention with the Children’s Bureau, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
