Promoting pride in our country, respect for the flag, and appreciation of our freedoms are central to the Exchange Club’s Americanism efforts. The Exchange Club of Durham proudly supports these values by encouraging a deeper understanding of what it means to live in a nation built on liberty and opportunity.

While much of the world continues to face conflict and division, the United States remains a place where people seek safety, freedom, and a better future. The diversity that can divide other nations is something we recognize as a strength.

Exchange’s Americanism programs began following World War II, during a time of renewed national pride. Since then, Exchange Clubs have worked alongside veterans and community organizations to honor and celebrate the enduring principles of democracy.
